Hello! I'm Julia Leis Lap, a twice-certified professional makeup artist (Art of Colors Amsterdam & Charlotte Tilbury). Welcome to my portfolio, where you'll find a collection of my work and the projects I've worked on.
I specialize in editorial and creative makeup, with experience across photo shoots, fashion shows, magazines, film sets, and more: working as a key artist, solo, or alongside a team.
Some of the names I've worked with are NUMÉRO (Netherlands & Switzerland), IFFR (International Film Festival Rotterdam), Amsterdam Fashion Week, Airwaves, plus independent designers, directors, photographers, and more. I also have over three years of experience working for Charlotte Tilbury and MAC Cosmetics.
My style is bold, creative, and tailored to every model I work with. Whether you're going for whimsical water fairy or full-on villain, I'll make sure the look fits the mood, the set, and the vision.
My biggest inspirations are Pat McGrath and Kevyn Aucoin. I love that a single color, a song, a piece of clothing, or even just a feeling can spark something totally new, that's what keeps me inspired.
My work ethic has been shaped by my background as a certified illustrator and designer, which developed my biggest strengths: versatility, a strong overview of set work, understanding different team roles, being a good problem solver, and working well under pressure. I always make sure communication is as clear as it can be so we can make the best decisions together.
